Writer's Block: Take me out

[Error: unknown template qotd]

Yep. My boyfriend was my former assistant manager at Starbucks. I was a barista, so we had to keep it hush hush until he transferred to another store. We were really good about keeping things normal at work though. But we're still together, and its been over 5 years now. We both also still work at Starbucks, except different stores and he is now a manager and I am a supervisor.

Since we're being honest and open with this question, I almost hooked up with my therapist two years ago. She wasn't old enough to be my mom, but she was older than me. She was in her mid 30s. At the time I was in a bad state and she helped through our therapy sessions. She kept hitting on me even though she was married. I had to stop our sessions and look for a different therapist because I didn't want things to get too far and out of control.

Wow I can't believe your therapist would be so unprofessional. I remember when I was at Centennaial and we did our class on Social Work and how they would always say never get involved with a client. Your were smart to get out of that situation.

That's cool. You hear all kinds of coworker/relationship horror stories so it's nice to hear about the times when it actually works out.

That must be a Starbucks thing. I dated a Starbucks manager for a few months last year. Her last boyfriend was another Starbucks manager and she loooooved to talk about work. Which made me think I probably would have stood a chance if I worked at Starbucks, too. Just wasn't willing to take that much of a pay cut.
